Buying Clipped Coupons

Hello fellow couponers!
I hope that you are all having a great week and that you have gotten some awesome savings this week!  Last night I was doing some planning for the new Publix ad that will be out tomorrow and I realized there are A LOT of items that are good for stockpiling on the list this week.  Unlike some of the drugstores Publix doesn't do an ad preview so I was just looking around on Iheartpublix.com and found that they did in fact have the ad!!!! I was excited because that was going to help me with this next weeks strategy.  I have watched Extreme Couponing at least 10 times now and the one thing that they do that I haven't mastered yet is having a coupon for EVERY item that is on sale.  So my goal for this week...to have a coupon for every sale item that I purchase.  Looking at my coupon binder I don't have multiples of most of the items that are good for stockpiling this week...so hmmmm what to do?

There are several options when it comes to getting multiple of the same coupon.
  1. Get multiple subscriptions to paper.  Right now I am only getting one paper however after I see the results of this weeks shop I may get more!!  Some coupon blogger's recommend 4-6 papers.  Others say get one for every member of your family.  I am not even sure if my local paper does this or if they offer discounts for multiples but if I see a HUGE save this weekend I will definitely be calling them!!!
  2. Buy you coupons off a coupon clipping site.  This is method that I went with this week since I knew that I didn't have a huge stock of coupons for the items that were going to be on sale.  The site that I used (which is linked on the main page) was AWESOME.  I visited several just by doing a Swagbucks search and by far this site had the most selection.  So how do these sites work you ask?  They list all of the coupons that they have one hand and you select how many you would like.  Most of the places are only charging for the effort in getting them clipped and shipping.  Typically these sites charge a percentage of the value of the coupon as the handling fee.  The thing that you have to watch with these sites is when the coupons will ship which is why I was thrilled that I found the Publix ad in time for me to place the order this morning.  I completed the order at around 9:30 and I got an email tonight that my order had shipped at like 10:01 this morning.  I ordered close to 45 coupons for $5.00.
  3. The other way to get coupons in multiples is eBay.  I have orders random lots of coupons on eBay and really liked that method but to me the prices for the multiples seemed a little high.  However the coupon clipping site didn't have some of the ones that I was looking for in stock so I may check eBay out tonight to see what I can find.
  4. If you don't want to buy coupons there is always the option of asking friends, family, neighbors, and coworkers to save coupons for you...if any of you that know me don't use your coupons LET ME KNOW!!!! If you are really really brave you can always dumpster dive like the Krazy Coupon Lady did on TLC...which is something that I don't think you will see me do!
So this week when my coupons arrive in the mail I hope to have a coupon for almost every item that I plan on purchasing thanks to a coupon clipping service.  If they arrive before Saturday I will do my shop one day after work and let you all know how it goes...if not hopefully they will be here before Saturday.

Couponing has really made shopping fun again for me!!!  Couponing is a way of life...and once you start it will change your life!  Just ask the people that sit around me at work...it has become all that I talk about!!!

Happy Shopping and SAVING!!!!!!!
